CybPh is proud to announce the first Official Stikfas Competition in the Philippines!

Competition details are listed below:

Competition Duration Period: March 28, 2008 to April 28, 2008

Venue: Hobbes and Landes Universe, Bonifacio High Street, Fort Global City, Taguig

One (1) STIKFAS GOLDEN TICKET per entry

Cost of Ticket: P100.00 includes One (1) Classic or G2 Alpha Male Blister Pack

Competition Mechanics:

HOW TO JOIN:

1. There are two (2) categories:

*Category 1: CUSTOMIZATION -
Create, Build, Mutate, Paint STIKFAS Action Figure kits any way you like it. Create your very own character or adapt any existing action figure character, comic character, cartoons, etc. you like. Use STIKFAS kits only. Gluing, epoxy, clay or any sculpting materials are allowed.

*Category 2: KIT-BASHING -
No licensed movie/ animation/ comic/ game characters. Create your original Kit-Bash figure. You may use parts from up to maximum of 5 kits only. Repeated parts from the same kit will count as a separate kit. (Example: If you use parts from 2 Legionnaires, then it’ll count as 2 sets of “Alpha Male Legionnaire” kits). No gluing, sculpting, painting, or any process of modification of parts allowed. The parts are to be used in their original form and color, and put together using existing joints. Only Stikers (stickers) from the sets used in the kit-bash may be used on the finished custom. Use STIKFAS only.

2. Register at any Hobbes & Landes Stores to join. One Ticket per entry. Send as many entries you want!

3. Entries must be of actual works of participants. Photographs will not be allowed. All entries will be displayed in Hobbes & Landes Universe during the competition period.

4. Drop all entries at Hobbes & Landes Universe, Bonifacio High Street, Fort Global City, Taguig City.

JUDGING:

1. Judging will be held on May 3, 2008 in Hobbes & Landes Universe, Bonifacio High Street, Fort Global City, Taguig City.

2. Criteria for Judging:

* Category 1: Creativity 35%; Painting and Detailing 35%; Execution and Finished Product Appeal 30%

* Category 2: Creativity 35%; Originality 35%; Color and Parts Execution and Finished Product Appeal 30%

PRIZES:

1. There will be Eight (8) winners per category. Participants may only win once, based on the bigger prize.

2. Awarding of Prizes will be held on May 10, 2008 in Hobbes and Landes Universe.

* First Prize: P7,500.00 worth of prizes
* Second Prize: P4,000.00 worth of prizes
* Third Prize: P1,500 worth of prizes
* Five (5) Merit Prizes: P500.00 worth of prizes

   Entries will be returned to the contestant after a month or so. They will be displayed in Hobbes & Landes stores.

   Selected entries will be displayed via a Hobbes & Landes tour. Stikfans would love to see your creative works.
   Tickets will be available in all 9 Hobbes & Landes outlets.

   Tickets cost PHP100 and come with a free Alpha Male or G2 Alpha Male!!

   This special offer is being extended to all Stikfans who gave a tremendously warm welcome to Stikfas in the Philippines.

   Just want to clarify, Can We submit anytime within March 28 to April 28? Or will the deadline be on march 28 and it would be on display for a month?

   My other question would be for category 1, is the use of Aftermarket materials such as styrene sheets, plastic sheets, tubes and other foreign material that are not in any way part of another toyline allowed? How about customized markings and decals? Are they allowed as well?

   Yes, you can submit within March 28 to April 28. The final judging will be done in May 3.

   Some additional FAQ’s regarding the contest:

   1. You can cut or mutate some parts of the Stikfas kit. You can even use Epoxy clay, sculpey, putty or other forms of molding materials for scultping as well.

   2. You can use more than one Stikfas Kit for customization.

   Here’s the difference with the Kit-Bashing and Customization categories:

   For Kit Bashing – You are limited to up to 5 Stikfas kits, no paint job, mutation, sculpting or any other alteration of Stikfas parts. You can use only the Stickers from the 5 stikfas kits you used.

   For customization – There’s no limit to the number of Stikfas Kits you use. You can also paint, mutate, sculpt etc. some of the Stikfas parts. Of course, the end product should still have the look of a Stikfas product as a
   whole.

   Of course, for both categories, you can only use Stikfas Parts, Cuboyds, Mbear and Kooti Kooti only.

   You cannot mix parts from other toyslines (e.g. transformers, zoids, ML, DCD, etc).

   3. Creativity and uniqueness are the main criteria, not the amount spent on to make the custom or kitbash. also, whether you make customs of familiar characters (e.g. spiderman, hulk, etc) or not, it will be judged equally. It will boil down to creativity and the quality of the creation.

   HI, Sorry just read your comments, questions and answers just now. I read that in the customization category, the creators are not allowed to use other MATERIALS or other TOYSLINE only? How about parts from an earphone? or other materials that are not necessarily from toys?
