Involvement and participation in a number of related events is one of Cybertron Philippines’ aims and means to promote the Transformers in the Philippines. These activities not only expose and introduce the group to a larger number of people, but more importantly, present the world of the Transformers to them. Additionally, Cybertron Philippines is always present in a number of informal Transformer and toy-related activities involving its members and/or members of other collector groups. Such activities are of importance as well as it creates a deeper bond and connection among its members and among the different groups within the toy collecting and hobby community.

2007

TAGCOM 2007

An amlgam term of today’s most popular hobbies namely: Toys, Anime, Airsoft, Gaming, Comics, Cosplay, Modeling (Scale), Music and Movies, TAGCOM is the first event by Hobbyworx Inc. Held at the Araneta Expo Centro last May 12, CybPh has been invited to participate in this event to showcase Transformers and ended up bagging two events, the best booth presentation and the best male cosplayer. OZINE FEST 2007

For the second time CybPH has been invited by the great people of Otakuzine to participate in the annual Ozinefest held last April 1. Cosplayers, games, and of course the launching of the Philippines’ first toys and cards magazine where CybPH was featured as the online community of the month, and this is no April Fool’s joke. TRANSFORMERS CYBERTHON

The first ever Transformers Cyberthon (Also known as Cybertron Cyber-thon) at Fandom Cafe commenced during the Philippines’ celebration of Patriot’s day a perfect day to celebrate watching Transformers episodes with the Home of Heroes, Cybertron Philippines. Thanks to the guys from NWA who took time off from their busy schedules to join us watch the Transformers Movie, Beast Wars Agenda series, and selected episodes from Generation 1 and Headmasters. GRAND ASSEMBLY

The second floor of Max’s Restaurant, Greenhills provided a serviceable venue for the capacity crowd of 70+ attendees of the first-ever Cybertron Philippines Grand Assembly. Enthusiastic preparations and last-minute arrangements helped the pre-show action reach a fever pitch as things came down to the wire, each member and moderator alike realizing how significant the event that was about to happen would indeed be. Raffle portions punctuated each segment of the program and kept the crowd on their toes throughout. TOYS ‘R US COLLECTORS’ MEET

Toys R Us opened its first ever Philippine branch last June 30, 2006. The first major event was The Collectors’ Meet held last September 23 to 30, 2006 at the 4th level, Robinson’s Galleria West Wing Lobby.

TOYCON 2006

So, arguably the biggest convention for toy hobbyists in the Philippines, this year’s ToyCon was held at the Megatrade Hall 2 of SM Megamall on June 17 - 18, 2006.

CybPh participated in the event as an exhibitor. A member became a panel member for a discussion of toy collecting, while another represented the group in the Toy Displays section. Full article here.

OZINE FEST 2005

Otakuzine Magazine is one of the newest anime magazines. Otakuzine held its Ozine Fest 2005 last December 18 at the Robinsons Galleria Trade Hall. This was held in partnership with Hero TV, Cybertron Philippines, and Filcosplay.
