Cybertron Philippines was primarily created for the purpose of promoting the Transformers franchise in the Philippines. The groups aims to preserve and continue the fun and enjoyment of Transformers as a hobby for young and not-so-young Transformers fans or Transfans. Using the resources at the disposal of its members, the group introduces and informs both beginners and long-time Transfans of everything that involves the Transformers: toys, publications, multimedia and other related merchandise; as well as special Transformers events and gatherings both here in the Philippines and around the world. It is also in this light that the group assists local Transfans in providing information on the availability of the various merchandise available to them, and to a certain extent, on how to acquire them. Finally, the group promotes the Philippines and the Filipino Transformers community as one the best – both in the real world and in the world of cyberspace – for everything and anything Transformers-related.
With the group’s involvement in and association with various toy distributors, licensors, and media, Cybertron Philippines also acts as a medium to introduce and promote the toy collecting hobby to Filipinos. The wide range of toylines and other hobbies available for the present-day collector and each group member’s interests in any of these lines have helped Cybertron Philippines to be realized not only as a toy-specific collector group but as a expanding community where other collectors and hobbyists can get together and share their respective passion, knowledge and hobbies to any one who might develop an interest to something new.
