Cybertron Philippines is the brainchild of individuals who share a common interest and passion for Transformers. It began back in June 15, 2004 when these individuals decided to get together and combine their resources towards the further propagation of the Transformers as a hobby that they can enjoy and share with other people, both followers and non-followers of the franchise.

In the past 2 years since its inception, Cybertron Philippines on its own and through alliances with other general and specific toy collector groups and communities, toy and hobby stores, and media associations, Cybertron Philippines has achieved, and continues to pursue, its vision and mission of promoting the Transformers to the Filipinos and the unique Filipino approach to the Transformers. In its 2-year history, Cybertron Philippines has expanded itself to cover other toylines and hobbies. Through its association with other toy collector groups and exposure from various toy- and hobby-related activities in the country, Cybertron Philippines now also provides a section of itself to other collectors who are familiar to Transformers but does not necessarily follow the line to promote and explore their respective hobbies. With each member of Cybertron Philippines being also interested and involved in other toylines and hobbies, it was only necessary that the group to evolve into what it is today.

At present, Cybertron Philippines also provide information to other toylines such as Super Robots, Toku, and Zoids. The name Cybertron was taken from the Transformers home planet of the same name. The Transformers are a race of sentient alien robots who have the ability to transform themselves into the likeness of any mechanical object. Although the story of the different Transformers “generations” have varied throughout its 20-year history, one constant concept in all of these is the name and existence of the planet Cybertron. It is in Cybertron where heroes are born, regardless of allegiance, fullfilling their destinies and ensuring the survival of their race. The group chose this name as it pays tribute to these robots’ homeworld: a place where all Transformer knowledge, treasure and lore have been preserved and can be found for any one who wishes to know more about these magnificent beings.

Cybertron Philippines brags on its membership, being the biggest Filipino online Transformers Community. A group composed of individuals from all walks of life, who share the love for Transformers. The group is also blessed with the presence of TF celebrities like Don Figueroa and Robby Musso who part of the Cybertron Philippines’ roster of TF fans. The group has reached a member count of 1400, and continues to grow thanks to those who want to rekindle their love for these robots, or to those who realized that it wasn’t too late to love them.
