Ok, so this is probably THE biggest event for toy hobbyists and enthusiasts, and of course, it does need an end report. Sadly, being stuck on our booth to make sure that our “for-sale” items are sold, we only got a few pics. But believe me, this is just my second toycon, and apart for the crampy aisles due to a barrage of people, the inevitable hotties from the cosplay community, and the good bargains, pictures won’t really be necessary.
One of the highlights of the event would be the panel discussion on toy collecting. Three of the well-known hobbyists, namely CowboyX, Garvy and CybPh’s very own Protoform-S, shared their knowledge and passion for the hobby.
The three amigos were later joined by Art Asylum’s Digger Mesch and crew…
The trio was nice enough to show prototypes of upcoming Art Asylum releases, as well as do a few autographs.
To cap off this summary, we dwell on the people who displayed their precious collectibles during the two-day event. Slim Shady provided us with Batman and Superman Stats, while Clark Ken ans his Superman figs shared a cabinet with Evilclops’ MOTU collection.
Buffy chose to showcase his Star Trek collectibles while Markdwinc displayed his custom Team USA figs.
Kids just couldn’t get enough of GaoJP’s 12-inch Sentai/Power Rangers, while you can’t stop being amazed of McBeeper’s Superman collectibles.
Last but not the least, an army of marvel legends figures were provided by ToyDen, who shares his cabinet with CybPh’s Thunderbreak who brought his Green Lantern Corps figs.
Can’t wait for Toycon 2007!
