I will review Arcee in three categories:- Sculpt (Form and Color)
- Articulation(Movable Parts and how can it be moved)
- Fun Factor (How did I enjoy it)
[Sculpt]Alternate Mode:
Arcee is a purple motorcycle with black parts and gold trims and golden spokes. The windshield and headlights are translucent pieces of plastic colored violet. The cycle has a marking of “RC 110″ on both the front part of the right side and the rearside of the left part. An autobot insignia is located on the rearside too. There is also a plate number that reads “TF 74707″ which was the original showing date of the Transformers Movie.Robot Mode:
Now there are some points interest when Arcee is in robot mode…
1.) Arcee is retool of Energon Arcee toy.
2.) Arcee sports a hairdo… a 1980’s one infact. But compared to the original Energon Arcee, this toy is much taller. This infact something more obviously seen since the movie Arcee is a deluxe while the Energon Arcee is a basic toy. The toy face faintly shows female features and you may not identify the toy as a female until you focus on two things: a.) The hair is distincly female and b.) The toy has heels.Another difference is TTFM Arcee has hands which are quite different from Energon Arcee’s hands.TRIVIA: Arcee in the first Prequel comic was never referred to as Female.
[Articulation]
Articulation follows the same points as the original Energon Arcee. How ever one thing I’ve seen is the its neck is quite loose and it cannot hold its pose more often than not. Its quite disappointing, though with some simple repair know-hows, you can easy remedy this problem.
[Fun Factor]
Its weapon is the seat of the motorcycle and it becomes a crossbow once you inserted the missile into the slot on the seat. This is a direct reference to the Energon Arcee’s weapon.Another fun factor to this toy is the motorcycle is actually in scale with 5 inch figures. Making them a perfect match to Souchaku Henshin toys another toys with in that scale.
[Overall]Upon checking the toy further I was able to spot the markings on the underside of the gas tank cover, it says:
“(C)2006 Hasbro Inc (C)Takara 2006 Made in China”
This is unique because Cybertron Toys possesses only the Hasbro name. Also another point of interest is the date which marks its design date as 2006.
A recolor toy with a unique look, but because of its loose joints you may want to think twice before getting it. Since I know I can repair it, I will surely get one.
RATING: B

It’s not a retool of Energon Arcee at all. It’s a brand new mold. It may share certain transformation steps and similarities with E Arcee, but by no means is it a recolor or retool.
I’d like to add that this is not a retool of the Energon Arcee toy. Rather, it is a completely new mold with a similar transformation scheme to that of Energon Arcee’s.
